This aircraft-grade alloy is a modified, reinforced version of the already robust 4340 chromoly, enhanced with the addition of Vanadium and a higher silicon content. Vanadium, a common element in high-speed tool steel (HSS), plays a crucial role in elevating the steel’s strength to unparalleled levels.

The increased Silicon content further enhances the steel’s strength and hardness, while also providing superior resistance to high-temperature oxidation.
